If Robert Wagstaff's W.A.R.B.O.T. is successful, what is the purpose of W.A.R.B.O.T.? I don't understand what Wagstaff originally wanted to achieve by making this

W. Is A.R.B.O.T. a UFO? And then Wagstaff sat and flew to the moon?

Wagstaff was presumably planning on using it for typical evil corporation business, like overthrowing governments for profit, or selling supernatural superweapons to dictators with dreams of world domination.

I think Wagstaff wants to sell inventions to live like a king. We know he is not against robbing people blind, using a tragedy to enrich himself, choosing wealth over recuse, and he proclaims to be a former snake oil salesmen. I guess he figures he can sell weaponry to governments and they'll pay anything to stay ahead or keep up with rest of the world.

Wagstaff isn’t the type of guy to take over the world, he was gonna sell the thing to the highest bidder. Either that, or he just wanted to be known as the man behind the Warbot.
