PatrykC159753
There is currently no way to make polluted brine, which means all of that content is inaccessible on existing saves. I don’t want to give up my 3000-cycle save just to access the new DLC content. A lot of the DLC content requires large amounts of sulfur to use, so it would be nice if we had alternative ways to produce sulfur. Especially in Spaced Out!, I don’t really like the idea of having to build a sour gas boiler just to access the new content. Maybe some new morph would be a good solution. Other than that, great job devs — this looks like the best DLC so far, and I really love it. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171671-2-problems-with-the-new-dlc%E2%80%9D/ Share on other sites
Cmagik
1- could be fixed with the Emulsifier, highly inconvenient but an easy fix. 2- I've also noticed this issue. Sulfur can currently only be obtained with sourgas, geyser and space exploration. While it wasn't a problem before because only SO plants required sulfur and thus the geyser was sufficient. AquaDLC gumtree also requires sulfur without providing a geyser. Again, either a Petroleum > Sulfur recipie with the emulsifier or an alternative critter morf. Not sure it would be very popular since I don't expect people to farm gumtree in mass. For some reason I'm also exciting to think that gumtree could be the base of a special Spigot Seal morf. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171671-2-problems-with-the-new-dlc%E2%80%9D/#findComment-1868191 Share on other sites
Carib94
With the existence of the Emulisfier Polluted Brine is very possible. Salt + Polluted Water ez pz I think hopefully they added it in the next beta update. If you are playing Spaced out a Sulfur Geyser(if you have it) should suffice, otherwise yeah sour gas boiler or space mining is the only way for an existing saves. The dlc new geyser Thermal Gas Fissure has a mechanic where it builds up a material/resource and you need the marine drill to harvest. On another forum post, a user mention that the fissure provides sulfur when drilled so theirs that. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171671-2-problems-with-the-new-dlc%E2%80%9D/#findComment-1868195 Share on other sites
suicide commando
You can also get a bunch of bionic dupes, then set up a gunk boiler. Gunk turns into petroleum and sulfur. Love the idea. I also feel like there is a lot of potnetial for dlc creatures morphs like the squid or oxygen making fish. A lot of potential i love it. Btw does anyone know if i can turn on dev mod spawn the new geyser and if i did would i still be able to get achivments on that save file? (i am realy thinking on updating my save file and adding new traits and and geysers. Aspecialy a geotermal story trait form frosty story pack.
