shaurun
Dear Klei, We love your new ideas and many of them become a pleasant surprise for us, but why are you so hesitant to reuse existing concepts? People keep suggesting "damaged clockwork" thing or ironman from Hamlet. I think this is simple and fun if you want to make some damage boost / temprorary charge effects - just make some short-term tranformation / activation on cooldown or fuel consumption. It's fun on itself, no need even to have crazy damage boosts. E.g. some super form which can be activated with inserted heart only and will use your battery charge but you can refill this charge with nightmare fuel to upkeep the form. So it would be crazy for boss battles for example but totally disables your circuits after charge went down. It feels like you have this idea in mind but simply don't want to repeat yourselves and that's why instead of nice thematic thing we get somthing strange. And btw WX (and actually not only him, all characters) can have a lot more from tricky shadow side. E.g. going invisible for short term (loses any aggro), thorny vines which on attack locks the target encaged (could ba a craftable item for anyone), invincibility frames on demand (like blocking circuit but instead of block action you become invincible because you become somewhat transparent/shadowy), etc. I know you have all these ideas and much more, I'm very curious what are the discussions around it an why such solutions don't reach us because there might be a reason I'm missing. But overall my guess is it's clear what community wants and why all these drones or fuel insertion feels ackward thematically while the straitforward solution with corrupted mechanism transformation is kinda obvious.
