Feedback: Electrical Doodads, Chessmaster, and More.

There are too many electrical doodads required for WX-78’s drones. Without Winona, they’re annoying to craft and consume a lot of rocks, which are already a scarce and a heavily used resource (Wigfrid, Winona, thermal stones, and many other recipes).

It would make more sense to use scrap instead in some of them. Scrap is abundant, underused, and fits the character better thematically. It also looks more believable as a general building material compared to using electrical doodads for all drone types.

 

As for the Chessmaster Circuit, it should be more useful for recruiting in general. I know the Chorus Box exists and works well, but it would be nice to have an alternative.

For example, feeding one pig could recruit nearby pigs as well (similar to how merms work). The same idea could apply to clockworks, since crafting multiple circuits is a big gear investment already.

Maybe scale it so that for each additional circuit, you recruit +0.5 extra units. So with 7 circuits, you’d recruit 1 + 3,5 extra pigs, 0,5 being half the timer.

 

Auto-Grabber should be able to stack the items. It would also help if it prioritized the type of item the player is currently picking up.

Alternatively, you could make them work more like the Allays from Minecraft: give it a sample item, and it only collects that specific type regardless of player interaction.

This would make it much more efficient and easier to control.

 

I still think the Spatializer Circuit should be a Gamma one, It feels more like an active input, since you have to manually open and use the storage space.

 

Signal Booster should be its own class of skill and be granted automatically as you invest in drone upgrades, instead of costing a skill point. Each drone-related skill could contribute a percentage towards it.

It could stay in the same place in the tree for clarity, so players still see the bonus progression. However, it doesn’t feel right to spend a full point on what is essentially a partial benefit—especially if you don’t have access to all drone types or are not going shadow-aligned.

Overall, it should scale naturally with drone investment rather than require a separate point.
