The amount of friends I've tried to get into DST but couldn't because they hate how combat feels is immense. I would appreciate on their behalf a way to customize controls to be more similar to an isometric action game like Hades or Tunic.

OBVIOUSLY, the items in the game are not designed for this. I'm basically asking for training wheels to make the game more appealing to those people.

We could also do with a bit of a sped up early game in DSE for the same reason.

This all assumes DSE is trying for quality > uncompromising-ness which I assume it is considering that's what late stage DST did. If it is not, and in fact being an uncompromising survival game is the focus, then thank you Klei, I'm super happy, but don't even bother trying to make training wheels like this.

i am not sure what you mean by that or what these other games are or how they do it, do they just have a designated dodgeroll buton? if so what difference is it to simply press a directional input to dodge?

More like attacking. People are freaked out by "press f to auto-walk towards enemy and swing"

i think there should just be a reworked combat system. The reason the one we have in dst is so bad is because originally the game was designed to be a sandbox and combat would take away from the intended experience, so they didn't delve too deep into that system. But now, in modern DST, combat is very prevelant with many bosses. Dse will likely follow a similar path which is why combat NEEDS to be reworked, especially ranged combat
