I was trying the new skill tree today and it is really good. I am rushing the lunar questline and being able to teleport to pearl for her tasks is so convenient. Even mining and chopping trees are so satisfying now. But the best part is being able to solo bee queen with a single pick/axe. The AOE, reduced durability usage from 2 spin cycle circuits, and the electic circuits means grumble bees stand no chance againts you. I prepared 4 pick/axes for the fight and the first one did not even break. I'll try it with fuelweaver and toadstool next.

Just came up with an idea.

When WX-78 runs the shadow spec and uses Shadow New Moon and Pure Horror, he gets aggroed by moon sprouts when passing through the moon mushroom biome.

The three minions from the moon spec will sense nearby shadow mobs, then automatically focus them down with high damage without control.

I think this fits the lore perfectly and would make the game way more fun

Skill tree is really fun, maybe a little bit strong but in a balanced way, some circuits aren't that good (specifically the gamma circuits, way too gimmicky(spin cycle is great though) 

but for the most part a very good tree. The affinities are really cool, i don't like lunar personally but i think its still a great skill

zaptrocuter isn't very good, not sure how/if they would deal with that 

Some skills arent ever worth taking but are cool, i'm a fan of Warm standby, though it's never worth taking over others

very cool tree, very fun, very powerful, one of the best so far

I don't know why everyone likes it so much, I found it's radius small so you mostly hit 2-4 trees/stones, and if you want to kite with it there's minor delay but for example for boulder trees from fumarole it's very unpleasant. To me it's mediocre but maybe I don't know something? Like surely it sounds to be great with shadow axe tier 3, but reaching it...

I actually prefer catcoon ones for fuel and emergency food, plus late game you have so many rot so processing it somehow is quite good.

Good mostly though affinities are lacking, lunar still needs a bit more refinement (being able to see chasisses inventory) while shadow is missing

also its kinda mandatory to pick tp skill for relocating chasisses, otherwise you have to destroy them and then place them where you want and it sucks

other than that, its good.

I really like WX's gameplay. Teleportation and the delivery box are so comfortable in a single-player setting. Some people's dissatisfaction with WX mainly comes from the fact that many of its skills only serve itself — but that actually fits its character design perfectly.

the QoL skills are good, encouraging swapping in and out the circuits is what it shouldve always been.

the tinkering skills are iffy, mainly gamma ones. only 4, and there is only 1 good circuit. sonic is only good in multiplayer (outclassed by other players simply just standing near wx with spin cycle), blocking is pointless, expensive, heavy rng and only works with electrification, with a cooldown so the game becomes sit still and do nothing (just spin cycle, it for some reason has hitstun immunity), redigestion doesnt make sense but at least it doesnt have to compete with spin cycle, and then theres spin cycle. the tinkering skill for spin cycle is on the 2nd skill, and the only reason you get those is for spin cycle due to the others' effects are extremely lacking (sonic just allows infinite cast, redigestion just allows near spoilt food, blocking literally just adds knockback immunity while spin does more dps)

backup chassis good except for the revive + the one in the middle (it only works with chorusbox and illumination as a shitty glommer/onemanband and a shitty light).

lunar affinity is so mediocre at best for most parts of progression, and the ai is bad and wasteful. protecting them for a ton of cost (especially lategame when they still dont use repair kits to fix rift items), and for mediocre dmg early game. fun fact: they do 1/4 dmg with any shadow weapon so their variety is a lot less (not that they were well designed or encourage fun strats anyway, they either facetank or just become discount catapults with bshade staff/gloomerang and cc crown). not to mention, bugs gallore. i watched InstantNoodles for a stream of him messing around with a possessed chassis and learnt: they trigger hound traps, they will eat a gear the instant they take dmg from one, they somehow despawned when he went into caves and returned to the surface, and they do essentially nothing due to wx doing everything with shadow maul spin + cc crown.

the better affinity is currently locked in beta bc for some reason lunar affinity is considered polished enough to be out in mainbranch

then drones, storage drone is unanimously loved (and for some reason its a stackable item). map drone is nice but many dislike how its useless after you map stuff out but its useful early/mid game (and great for ocean mapping). zaptrocuter is useless

it breathed some new life into the character but theres so much random things that are so useless due to klei balancing™ (like why does every other character have a ******* revive skill)

its dmg with pick/axe is already on par with hambat on 1 target, but then tack on hitstun immunity and convenient AOE. yea its as if youre an extremely impossible to kill abigail at all times
