Integrating the Affinities into the Gamma Circuits would have been the easiest and most logical approach. I appreciate that they're trying to implement ambitious ideas, but these just feel like they were thrown in on a whim, and honestly, they aren't very fun to use. As it stands, it doesn't fit WX's original playstyle concept, nor does it feel like it opens up any viable new playstyles.

Not to mention, it completely clashes with the game's lore. Why does taking in a Shadow Heart suddenly trigger a 'Lazy Forager' ability? (Sorry if I'm missing some existing piece of shadow lore here.)

It's a mystery to me why they decided to introduce an entirely new concept instead of tying it to the circuits or the chassis. Both the circuits and the chassis still have plenty of room for improvement.

At the very least, the Shadow Heart should be something that plugs into a Gamma slot.

Yeah, it looks like they were running out ideas and simply gave WX-78 everything to mimic other characters.

I love the idea other person proposed with becoming a living artifact, maybe some craftable for a short period of time. It would be more interesting.

I also noticed that, basically the WX-78 lunar upgrades are just Maxwell clones (PLAGIO DI PLAGIO).

And the shadow upgrades are things the community asked for (damage circuit, vacuum circuit), but instead of being a circuit for Gamma or Beta circuits so you actually have to choose between combinations... it's the shadow upgrade with its own upgrade slot. It makes me wonder why they nerfed the alpha circuits then? If they're going to give them such an OP upgrade as the shadow upgrade...

The WX-78 moon/shadow affinity upgrades feel like a mod, to be honest.

I've given some serious thought to the future of Gamma Circuits, and it always comes back to this: trying to balance them solely around cooldowns is exactly what's severely limiting their potential.

I'm honestly in favor of reverting the Alpha Circuit nerfs if the current system stays as is. If the devs actually factored in continuous power consumption (battery drain), the pre-nerf Alpha Circuits would make complete sense. Plus, them being powerful wouldn't be an excuse to hold back the development of new Gamma Circuits.

Furthermore, as long as WX-78 shares the core concept of 'electricity' with Winona, they really need to integrate and standardize how power works between the two of them.

you know what would have been cool. if he just equiped a shadow chassis or lunar chasis and they just had an aura around them that did different things. maybe shadow chasis did passive damage to enemies nearby and gave him a shadow shield or something that could be stacked with the beanbooster circuit and make him like tanky. or lunar chasis gave him an aura that makes him and allies idk move faster and use tools faster or something or even lets allies use tools like wx-78 can but with the spin circuit but they just do it at 30% worse than him or something. if he just had like auras it would effect his placeable chasis and add to him without requiring you to go for the placeable chasis.

I'm honestly getting tired of overthinking all this, so let's toss balance and realism out the window for a sec and just brainstorm some fun ideas!

I really love the idea of adding special Lunar and Shadow chassis too. I was thinking, what if you had to fight a possessed version of yourself to unlock them?

For the Lunar path, you'd fight a version of yourself possessed by a Gestalt. For the Shadow path, you'd have to place a backup chassis holding a Shadow Heart at the Ancient Gateway, and then fight a version of yourself possessed by the Ancient Shadows!

Whoever wins the fight gets to claim the other's chassis as their prize. Doesn't that sound awesome?

won't it be better if we fight a revive shadow version of us using that shadow mask thing that appears pos shadow rift? or the need for us to die first make it a bad idea?
