The only other thing that I can think of that spins, would be Mush Gnomes. Even then, I feel like a grotto scan is too easy for something as good as Spin-Cycle.

Some tweaks for possessed chassis that might help/be nice?

  • they could be affected by the maximum body count, but also returned either all or half of them for use for remote transfer
    • or have some kind of teleportation beacon that can be built if you take lunar and have remote transfer. I am not exactly sure.
    • teleport to the whatever body was in use
  • should have no hunger or sanity values and some health regen(maybe a lot out of combat or some in combat)?

Btw, I understand why spatializer circuit is in the "Storage" subcategory.
But it would be better if it were in the "Upgrade Module" subcategory instead of being separated from the other circuits.

Let's talk about inspiring bosses:
Mb all three eye-bosses may grant some scans. like bird or rook. alternative to rooks is good because after ruins rushers it may be hard to get speed2 scan.
werepig daywalker could give bird scan (because of his eye)
werepig nightmare could give.. sanity_2?
frostjaw - cooling circuit
malbatros - bird scan ?
mb scanning celestial and fuelweaver should unlock respective affinity as alternative of killing them.

The WX78 update is very rich and interesting, I really like the ideas that were implemented because it looks very cool and I like it! But now you definitely need to think about improving, in terms of interest, the older skill trees for beginners because they just don't look interesting, especially the first three, and I believe that you have ideas for them, and also so far it seems that the robot tree needs more balancing in all senses

The shadow affinity pickup mechanic need to be much faster when equipped on your current character. Currently, it gets to the resource much slower than your character which gives a very clunky experience of you waiting for it to catch up to harvest so you can pick the item up.

WX's minions are probably even weaker than pigmen as they as currently unless you put a ridiculous amount of investment into each one, in which case theyre still much worse than a merm

after this video, i have to disagree, they are much more better than maxwell clones, better AI, mechanics and damage, have an cost to make more DPS, ( not counting the maximum dps showed), but man i wish those were maxwell's clone behavior somethimes

3 armors 3 weapons arent such a big investiments, just circuits.

You can make 5 clones with a single piece of nightmare fuel. Yes, the potential for the clones is higher, but the puppets are just much more consistent, easier to use, and most importantly require very little setup and upkeep.
The scion fight is a good example, and even he mentions that he’s crafting essentially four times the amount of armor and weapons he would be using otherwise. 
This isn’t even to mention, by the way, that you don’t need to sacrifice anything to use Maxwell puprpets. If WX uses all three Chassis as minions they can’t use teleports or alternate circuit builds and if they use fewer than the three available Chassis then the puppets definitely outperform.

youre basically committing to a significantly bigger grind for a slightly better result. Even at the end he says its a gimmick more than anything to use them and that shadow is probably better most of the time.

but just looking the dificulty of sion figth, maxwell takes much time respawning his minions, they basically die all the time, and damage is outperformed 

just tested it, too it is very good and feels nice to do it, well for me post rifts maxwell feels bad, damage dosent keep it up, as much, you do need a beefalo,  well for me the preparations is worth 

only wurt is better than wx clones because well, wurt

at least for my playstile is feeling very good ( maxwell main sice his launch) used all minions in this game , and the AI is great, damage is satisfying and ultility too

I think that the spatializer circuit could also really fit the gamma circuit as it doesn’t really get a lot of use being in the beta circuit

After trying out WX-78, I realized that the Bio Scanalyzer has been completely overlooked! It's so strange — this is something you'd notice after just a little bit of play. The Bio Scanalyzer scans creatures way too slowly, especially for bosses. It's obvious that the skill tree could improve this: faster scanning speed, more biological data per scan, larger scanning range, etc. But even now, with the update about to hit the live server, no one seems to have noticed this.

 

The design idea behind the lower-right skill branch is fine, but I have a better idea. What if the Bio Scanalyzer could be turned into a multi-functional robot? The Electric Discharge Cannon skill tree could upgrade it into a floating turret — something that locks on and charges up like a Clockwork Bishop to assist in combat. Man, I can't even imagine how fun that would be. You could also add Mapping Mode and Transport Mode, with a command wheel to switch between modes. Of course, to keep it from being too OP, there should be a limit of three robots at once. Transport Mode could expand inventory slots to 9 or 12 instead of the current 6. Mapping Mode could remove distance restrictions for control. And the command wheel should include an option to make them return directly to WX-78.

 

So... V2C, will you actually see my suggestions?

do you have idea of how little is the time klei have to do that? the scan part in my opinion is more because people are used to it or don't see as problematic, the second idea kinda exist but more of a support in coop or safe kill, your scan ideas are basically the drones too

So what I meant is, the design direction isn't wrong, but the skill tree completely forgot about WX-78's Bio Scanalyzer. I also suspect that turning it into a multi-functional robot would require a lot more work, so they ended up redesigning other robots instead. But with no real change to the gameplay, and not even a single skill point that enhances the Bio Scanalyzer — that's what makes it a bit disappointing.

 

WX-78 was never a particularly strong character. Having good chips just makes survival and general gameplay a bit more comfortable, nothing more. Take Willow, for example — another character who was previously overlooked. At least her Bernie got new gameplay mechanics, didn't he?
