astation
In the previous beta, respawning would consume all the charge of a backup, so you could choose to use a less important backup. If you had a decoy at base, you could ghost back, respawn there, then teleport remotely to where you died—with its charge still full. This functioned similarly to Wanda reviving you. However, some players considered this a bug that enabled infinite respawns and reported it. As a result, backups created by Inhabited Machines II now spawn with zero charge by default. While the infinite respawn issue is fixed, simply nerfing it this hard feels unfair for an effect that requires a full 7 insight points. I suggest adding a new effect to Inhabited Machines III: backups spawn with 50% charge, the same as when spawning at the Portal. This would be much more reasonable. YouKnowWho142
7 skill points? huh? losing all your charge when you die is fair. it's not unfair to be punished for dying, the simple answer is to not die at all and if you do then expect the consequences. 8 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/170603-inhabited-machines-ii-zero-charge-on-spawn-feels-unfair/#findComment-1859232 Share on other sites

If you're a seasoned player, it's actually pretty hard to lose your charges. Hunger is usually a non-issue, and people who play the robot a lot, usually have some form of rain protection on them. The only time I see WX mains lose charges, is either by dying or by being frozen. And being frozen only happens through 3 enemies: blue hounds, klaus deer, and deerclops (or mutated dc). If you keep that in mind, being frozen can usually be avoided, and even if you do get frozen, you only lose 2 charges. That leaves dying to be the only source of charge loss for the most part, and that feels pretty balanced to me. Plus the only circuits that really suffer from charge loss, are the light circuits and the thermal circuits, and having a downside to those also feels right, since they're pretty dang powerful. ZeRoboButler
Your not taking the revive perk to maintain your charge, your taking it so your circuits won't take damage as a result of your mistake, leading to death. You are choosing between, total death and loss of charge or not a death and loss of charge instead. If I were to change anything about it, (aside from replacing it with something better) I say make it so the player doesn't even leave the body, just make it so they briefly go invulnerable, and drain all their charge resetting it to zero an giving them full hp. The a vast majority of bosses have trample mechanic built into the way they do damage and when they walk over things, so in cases like fuelweaver, bearger, deerclops, antlion and others, you will just have your body near immediately destroyed anyway so it's as though you didn't even have the perk. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/170603-inhabited-machines-ii-zero-charge-on-spawn-feels-unfair/#findComment-1859281 Share on other sites
