At the moment, WX's Roto-Mappers work as such: after creating one, it is controllable up to a certain radius of its creation point. You can redirect them at any point, given that you respect the aforementioned restriction. On top of that, there is a limit of 2 built at a time.

The limit is reasonable, especially considering their role of revealing the map slowly and passively. However, in the current version of the beta, you can only destroy them with a Deconstruction Staff. This means that, until you obtain ruins-level gear, you can only build a total of two Roto-Mappers.

This could be remedied by allowing you to manually dismantle them in proximity; Although a different option exists, which would dismiss the need to get them back to you before being able to create new ones: if WX had the option to remotely dismantle/destroy Roto-Mappers, the limit would still need to be respected as long as you're waiting for their mapping. On top of that, other issues of getting them "stuck" or mistakenly building them would be fixed by a remote destruction, allowing you to rebuild the next one under your desired conditions.

The "destruction" itself is described mechanically, not in flavor. It could be an explosion, a powering-off, a dismantling or simply flying up onto the sky before de-spawning. My focus is on the option to dynamically get rid of them in order to build others in different locations while still respecting the cap and cost.
