Posted March 21 Share Posted March 21 Well canonically Wx-78 is a souless being so he couldnt care less about jimmy after his job its done, and on the other side jimmy is not a living being at all. We dont know what is jimmy, is it some part of Wx-78 that he uses as a tool to upgrade themselves? is it a little robot-tool Wx-78 made with to help with the upgrades? we dont know but im pretty sure jimmy is just a tool for Wx-78 he a psychopath so it makes sense Wx-78 he can make more tools (drones) to do more jobs for them. It wasn't until I started testing them that I realized they were separate new items. So my idea is to include Jimmy in the production formula for the new drones. Maybe consume Jimmy? Or it could just be like Clockmaker's Tools, which won't be consumed. Posted March 21 Share Posted March 21 I think Wx-78 according to videos/lore is trying to be a perfect being so it makes sense he or their(Idk how to friki refer to the robot) can upgrade themself but i dont think he wants others beings to have his superior anatomy so why would the souless automaton gonna give upgrades to other robot beings? I feel the new formula of the multi drones of Wx-78 is really fascinating and unique, we have enough 1 minion characters(willow, wendy, walter) after all they are just tools to make Wx-78 the main machine stronger, yeah nothing but tools. Your thinking far too small, “Jimmy” for example could be given “Duplication” abilities, as in for example, he can float about, scan a grass tuft and duplicate a hologram of a new one. This leans a bit into the Winona gameplay where she can use her special glasses to look for holographic stuff. WX78 is Wagstaffs creation so…. I’d absolutely love to be able to “duplicate” random stuff it can scan, then like a cute little ufo beam, it float down out of Jimmy and at first is hologramish like Winona’s Wagstaff stuff is, before stabilizing into a real item. Its just a fun way of making Jimmy more interactive, but would probably require a ton of skill points and/or have limitations to balance being OP.
