'Weapon Damage' is something that has always seemed incredibly arbitrary and strange to vary between weapon classes, as they already make use of motion values on different moves. (The difference between the same classes weights on weapons is completely fine)

This variance between them means specific abilities are considerably worse on specific classes, mainly the spear, as its the only weapon with below average weapon damage.

With my own testing in game - this is the exact order of base weapon damages on equally weighted class items.

Striker, understandably has high weapon damage due to its generally low hit-rate compared to other weapons.

Bow, which I find incredibly weird to be equal with strikers, due to how often it can land hits alongside it having piercing projectiles.

Hammer and Cannon, I consider this the 'default' damage, and this is where they should be.

Spear, having the lowest weapon damage which I find to be a particularly strange choice, this causes it to be significantly less rewarding with any potential synergies from gear and powers, as all scale with weapon damage aside from a few outliers.


Ideally - I would love to see all weapon-classes have equal weapon damage and to re-tune the motion values, as this keeps the effectiveness of equipment and powers consistent, and the only reason to pick between them would be the preference of attack style instead of inflated stats.
