Quick question about audio modding for Don’t Starve Together.

I noticed the mod_tools folder actually contains both FMOD_Designer and FMOD_Studio.
Steam only gives me an option to launch FMOD Designer, but FMOD Studio is still sitting there in the local files.

I’ve made mods for other games before (like Darkest Dungeon), so I’m way more used to FMOD Studio.
FMOD Designer works, but honestly the UI makes me feel like I’m a grandpa stuck in the 90s 😭
(I’m also not a native English speaker, so learning Designer from scratch is kinda painful.)

So I just wanted to ask:

Is it possible to use FMOD Studio for DST mod audio?
Like exporting banks/events in a way the game can load, or is DST completely locked to the old .fev/.fsb workflow from FMOD Designer?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can you export fsb fev? If so there is a chance.

I only know the very basic stuff in FMOD Designer.
Import audio, export .fev/.fsb, maybe draw a simple volume parameter curve and call it in-game. That’s about it.

I honestly struggled a lot even just figuring out how the parameter cursor works. I spent half a day on that and still don’t fully understand it.

That’s why I’m more comfortable with FMOD Studio — the workflow just feels much more intuitive to me.

From what I understand though, FMOD Studio exports .bank files instead of .fev/.fsb. So I’m not sure if there’s any way to make it compatible with DST.
