Hello, I would like to request a change to the oil refining process. Oil refining occurs without any duration effect. For example, in a rock crusher, extracting material takes some time. In an oil refinery, the process is direct and timeless. Because of this, if the refinery has a lower priority than something else, Duplicants don't stop refining oil and don't start more important tasks. I think players would appreciate a change to this mechanic. Thank you.

A workaround to this problem is to use automation to periodically disable the refinery for a couple seconds allowing the dupe to do other tasks.

 

I think you could probably use a liquid meter to tell the refinery to pause for a couple seconds after a certain amount of oil has been refined.
