I can’t join friends servers and they can’t join mine

I just updated the game to the ps5 version. I was trying to play with my friend and I know from experience that I have to make a server and have her join me first before we become friends on the game. Whenever she would try to join me the game would load for like 5 - 10 minutes and then completely stop and go back to the starting screen. I thought it might’ve just been me so I asked her to make one and it did the same exact thing for me when I tried to join her even off invite. So I cannot play the game at all with friends which just makes the game unplayable for me. I have yet to learn how to fix this issue.

Hi there, are you still having this problem? If yes, I have a couple of questions for you to try to figure out what's happening

- Were able to play with your friend when you were on the PS4 version?
- What version is your friend using?
- Are you able to join other peoples' games or the or the public servers, or is this happening with everyone?

This issue is probably caused by different NAT type. Check Your and Friends internet options .

Unfortunately PS sets it automatically .

The only solution without playing around with Your router settings is to force it by joining the world over and over again until it will go through . 

Restarting the game / Your PS helps sometimes too between the joins .
