I would like us all to contribute respectfully so that those doing the port can have a simplified reference of each shortcoming or flaw, which in many cases greatly affects the game experience.

• When loading the Surface, Caves, or creating a world, time continues to advance (usually about 1.5 minutes are lost in these cases).

• Pausing the game doesn't work well; sometimes when you unpause, the game freezes after 2 minutes and forces you to close it even if you're playing offline. Other times, you can have the game paused for 12 hours and when you unpause it works without problems.

• Fuelweaver will always be a priority even if he's invincible and receiving healing from the Shadow Women; it's absurd.

• Not being able to teleport to the maximum distance you have on PC is a huge drawback if you play Wortox.

• There is an approximately 20% delay when hitting, which affects DPS and the ability to approach mobs.

Sounds like they actually need to nerf the PC version.

And no I’m not trying to be a jerk or anything, it’s been done before with games like Smite, if they can not catch the console version up to PC then PC has to be brought down on par with Console.

Honestly, it does sound like it, since what I mentioned are major bugs that can be easily fixed. It doesn't make sense that the pause button has no real function or that you have lower DPS on consoles for no reason. Oh, and you're doomed to have "shorter" days because of how the surface and caves load. Anyway, thanks for commenting, even if it's mostly out of hatred and without contributing anything.

you should first say which of the things that should get nerfed, because the issue the poster mention sounds like bugs then pc advantage

Oh my bad, mostly casting ranges, Wortox soul hops, fishing rods, telecator staffs, Skill tree abilities ETC.

Its not too big of a deal right now because PC version can not Crossplay with other versions, but Klei has stated in the past that they want to do Cross-Play at some point when & if possible.

The thing is though: that Cross-Play means that PC & Console have to be “roughly” equal.

And that doesn’t just apply to Player vs Player games, completely Coop only ones such as Labyrinthine & Borderlands 3/4 also had to be balanced fair fairness when goin Cross-Play.

The main problem with the Switch version is that version 1 doesn't have enough capacity to run all the processes that were primarily created for PC (in my opinion). A clear example of this is that currently players cannot go to the sea because the game breaks and they have to restart the game, wasting several minutes logging back in. The best thing for everyone would be for them to stop supporting the Switch version 1 so that the Switch version 2 can match the PC version. But I doubt they'll let go of many players who don't yet have a Switch 2

Exactly, this isn't a post to add things or anything like that, it's just to highlight the flaws in this version, some of which greatly affect gameplay :c

The issue has never been power; I own the game but play it on a pirated sector to use the 60fps mod. It runs quite well even on version 1. I have a PC with slightly better components and it runs worse.

Does it really happen that it sometimes crashes at sea? Could you give me more info to add to the post? c:

Ngl that sounds like a bad idea, The Switch playerbase is already small (15-50 servers active at the same time) people on here who have a Switch 2 are minority im really sure, that would make the new Switch port only have like 20 servers maximum (and im being kinda generous probably) and all the other people be damned without being able to play the game, NO ONE chooses to play on The Switch Port by option, or atleast 99% of people

OH i have a good bunch things to say about this, we have to spread the Agenda, its so bad that im considering spreading awareness of how utterky horrible this port is, we have to force Klei to listen to us, this post is my crashout bro this Inferno of a port got me tweaking

Me currently im experiencing a bug that when the server gets old, around after 1000 days or 2000 the server crashes constabtly making the world pretty much unplayable, happened to a buddy some time ago and not it happened to me. This is a really messed up bug to exist, and its been here withiut fixing for MONTHS

There is no in-game chat, if the Switch port community had a symbol or something it would be a Hammer and a sign, well technically there IS an in-game chat BUT WE CANT ACCESS IT! Only the roll dice command, NPCs and the login, log off, death and revival notifications, there is even a very akward empty space on the character select screen that the chat supposed to be there but its empty! We are forced to use signs to be able to communicate, i always have a sign precrafted and a hammer in my inv because of this and im sure the average person in multiplayer servers does too! THIS IS NOT A SWITCH RESTRICTION. (Or atleast because lf my example it seems to be not) SKY: CHILDREN'S OF THE LIGHT  CHAT WORKS PERFECTLY WELL ON SWITCH. SWITCH 1. (Sky is a social cozy exploration and character dress up game btw)

Klei doesnt even like to acknowledge they have a Switch Port! They havent been posting the update details on the forums until very recently for like 2-3 years man! They dont check the Bug Trackers! I left a bug report there and it got fixed in the next update BUT MY REPORT NEVER GOT TAGGED AS "FIXED" NO REPORT HAS GOTTEN TAGGED AS FIXED FOR YEARS! ITS LIKE THEY DONT CHECK THE BUG TRACKERS AT ALL! and i am PRETTY SURE that is the case bc i edited the title of my report to say the bug got fixed BUT ITS STILL LABELED AS PENDING. Also in almost every social media shenanigans when they say on what plataforms DST is available SWITCH IS NOT THERE!! i made this meme that i will attatch to this post with evidence of this embeded to it (hope you dont mind that i put this post existence there as an example), btw the yt screenshot is from the most recent DST animated short, The Pearl Christmas one.

Everyone i talked about our state as the DST Switch Port community have all agreed that discribing this place as The Inferno of the DST world is hella accurate, we are all hating over here and for good reason, also theres the reasons you already listen im not gonna add em to my crashout but they true evidence as why this place sucks

Also theres the update delay thing, but recently the delay not that everlasting, but i preffer when the game actually does update the heavy hitter bugs get fixed and not remain there FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND UPDATES, i dont mind the update delay that much i get why its there kinda, but if ya gonna take a time better use it well, even if the updates go back as before as taking a little longer i dont care. I preffer quality over quantity

Also bejng able to use the wheel UI when playing in a single controller would be nice. You cant when playing with a single Joycon so characters like Willow and Maxwell's dynamicw are inaccesible if you playing w your irl homie on split screen or if you were like me for a while that one of the Joy Cons broke and you had to clutch with a single one for a while, my Joy cons got fixed a now btw. I know Evil Klei didnt break my Joy Con what i say is if possible find a qay to acces wheel UIs while on a single Joy Con, mainly for the split screeners that btw cant even play the game at all rn because of a crashing bug.

Thats all i have to say, for now, i have some real bad memory even with that this post quite long, i should ask my homies to contribute to this post honestly, We have to spread the Switch Port is The Inferno agenda fr, not for the simple sake of complaining but to spread awareness so these problems can get fixed better

As in you use a modded switch to play or you use an emulator on PC to play? Or something else entirely? I'm wondering if DST mods are a thing with Switch Homebrew. I never saw any but it's also difficult for me to search for.

I dont think the delay will ever go away btw. PC has a delay too unless you use don't starve alone. PC and Switch have the same issue.
