could we just have dialoge options with pearl ? + small sugestions for the rest of the update

Hi, long time no see.

This small beta is looking absolutly divine, dedicated to bring salt some more needed uses, an actual desingning challenge for megabasers with a whole new pearl quest and tea time. 

There is a lot to talk with this update but i feel like the big points have already been mentioned by other beautifull people on the forum and it seems like more features are to come, so i would just like to focus on a very specific thing that i think could add a whole new dimension to pearl.

Just allow us to talk with her. give us the option to interact with pearl and have a menu in which we can actually ahve a conversation with her, allow us to ask her about crab king, about what she wants for her island etc.

It could work just like a visual novel with a cool portrait of pearl showing above our inventory with dialogue options, or maybe like an old school point and click venture whith pearl just staring at the screen in an animated vignette kind of fashion.

I think adding a system by which we can mantain a conversation with pearl could make the whole quest a lot more easier to introduce, as well as adding a lot more depth to the character and make our relationship with her more compelling.

I dont tend to like this kind of sugestions because for me they read as  "EYO, devs, i just had this amazing idea thats defently not hard to implement and doesnt raise 3 million questions about the direction and designing of the attached systems and the game itself, BRO". I dont like those kind of posts, and i try to make plausible changes within the usual spam of the beta. But even if a whole new menu and dialoge system coant be implemented on this update, i think its a worth while direction to consider for future updates.

Psd: The biggest flaw of the update so far is how unclear and abstract it is to understand what pearl wants for decor, that needs to be adressed and i know it will, but i still felt like it was needed to be said.

And as a bonus small stuff about other features(Edit: It ended up not being small), i understand the logic behind locking the new structures to pearl houses range BUT COME ON THEY ARE TO GOOD TO NOT BE USED EVERYWHERE, at least make it so the reward for 50 decoration points its been able to place said structures everywhere on the map, pleaseeeeeeee. also getting salt from drying kelp could be addded to regular drying racks just saying.

Having two buffed ice staff one being just marginely better than the other its... unnecesary, the first buffed ice staff just becomes a step stone for the best one, maybe the best buffed ice staff could have a major buff, like super increase durability, AOE FREEZING, being able to summon the klaus ice attack to freeze stun an enemy etc.

The teas i havent play with a lot and i just have a general notion of their perks, but please notice how they are locked behind rifts and the three mutated bosses, I understand that by the nature of pearl she is not intended to have actual boss reward levels of good items, but at the very least the temperature teas should be straight up better than a thermal stone, i am not gonna talk about the other teas because eventho i know what they are about i dont know their exact numbers, but noticing how no one is talking about them i am gonna gues they arent really that impactful, please buff them accordingly to match the state of the game at which we get them.

I WILL SAY THO, weeds are very VERY annoying to farm, and i think it would be a good change having weeds just spawn in the world like flowers, bushes and the rest of plants, having weeds being in the world since day 1 would make their crafts and threats a lot more relevant for the early game and such.

 

This has gone longer than I anticipated, Klei you have absolutly knocked it out of the park, last 4 updates were some of the best things i ve seen in years and i am long due to make a post about how good thi years updates were, keep being awesome.
