4-5 herds would spawn per world, and they could migrate in around the ocean near the edges in a circle like path and the migration might last around 30 days if untouched. The sea Snurtles would be the more common variant and the sea slurtles could only spawn when a member of the herd dies respawns.

The sea Snurtles would drop slurtle slime, broken shells, and a snurtle disc that are similar to the side patterns of Snurtle shells but a disc and have a 40% chance of dropping. The discs can be thrown like boomerangs with 20 uses and can be used in 2 new crafts.

Snartle Drum: Using 2 snurtle disc, 4 cookie cutter shells, and 2 rope, you get an interesting ocean weapon. You throw it and then it starts to roll fast towards the target, changing direction when necessary, and leaps at the target when close enough or repeatedly rolls over it dealing dmg if it’s on/in the water, small/not huge, and not a boss. But it will only chase relentlessly on the ocean, as its speed on land is redundant, it falls shortly after thrown, only deals 20 dmg, and fails to target properly. It deals 100 dmg on sea, has 10 uses/hits/10% per hit but has a 20% chance to not use durability when used on sea, and will try return to the user if it fails it hit anything, otherwise it drops as an item. It can also target many fish by rolling over them, using 5% durability instead per dead fish.

Its shape is kind of like a snare drum, with a jagged long cookie cutter shell side while rolling on that side, and the discs are on the side. It’s also crafted at a think tank.

Snurtle shell armor: Crafted with 2 snurtle discs, 4 slurtle slime, and 6 broken shells, at an alchemy engine.

Shell-salt Filter: It’s crafted with 1 Snartle Drum, 4 rope, and 2 driftwood. It acts as water source for any thing that fills with water like drinking cans or mosquito sacks. It just has to be placed at the edge of the mainland/next to ocean, and it works year-round, filtering sea water.

The Sea Slurtles are smaller in size than the Sea Snurtles and have the same drops but instead of a snurtle disc, it has an 80% chance of dropping a Shell fin.

Shelmet: It’s crafted using 1 shell fin, 5 broken shells, and 3 slurtle slime. It’s crafted at an alchemy engine and is the only use of the slurtle fin.

The Sea Snurtles eat rocks, but only shortly dive to the sea floor to eat rocks there. A herd can be temporarily “befriended” by feeding one minerals, though will only follow you and smash sea stacks in your way if you break any via boat or pickaxe. They smash them by jumping at them with their backs towards the sea stack, and after landing back in the sea, do it again until it breaks. Sea Slurtles only follow. The herd after returning to their world spawn origins and without laying eggs within 5 days, with lay eggs at the nearest piece of land off screen. The amount of eggs and chances of one hatching a sea slurtle depends on how many members of the herd there were and how sea slurtles and sea Snurtles there were. The herd starts off at 5-6 members be can grow to a maximum of 10.
