Yeah you just wait.

If you're feeling lucky, you can try planting a bunch of new boulderboughs in the miasma of the are that Ripple is in. Then run far away.

It stops moving when unloaded. So come back in a few days and it may have a bunch of trees to run into. That is, if it didn't just choose to run out of the area immediately as you ran.

The "intended" approach seems to be to burn the miasma around where you don't want it to go, and use Geothermites to make a miasma trail to where you want it to go. It also tries to respect walls even if its girth doesn't.

I think it needs some polish to its navigation, and should try to respect Fumaroles (or Fumaroles themselves could be indestructible, lending to a more static kind of generation).

Does this work well? I've tried burning the miasma before, seemed very slow and vert ineffective. I did not try luring the mobs around to make a trail, though!
