Remote Controller/Worker Upgrade?

I think it is time that we upgrade the remote controller and worker. I think the remote controller is a bit too high in the tech tree in its current state, thats a lot of research to get a building that may not be worth using when you unlock it, having it at least 1 tier down it would be great have more earlier access to it. 

BUT it might be worth the research if the remote controller is able to cross connect planets by possibly using the automation broadcaster and receiver somehow? Maybe also upgrade what the remote worker can do? Allow it to harvest plants, or upgrade its movements capabilities?
