I think webber deserves something interesting not just wurt 2.0. I like the boy he is fun to use for me unlike wurt.

Maybe something like:

Lunar affinity: Webber learn to craft a switcherdoodle that only he can eat to turn himself into shattered lunar webber, and in this evolved form webber gets some special perks. Now all spiders friends of webber that died turn into a new bigger form of shattered spider warrior with planar damage and deffense, these spiders are only loyal to webber. if webber is attacking a target every 3 seconds he can summon spikes from the ground that make AoE damage. Webber now is inmune to be put to sleep. And finally he gets extra lunar eyes that allows him to analyze enemies weakness, yeah im talking about a new effect, something to show mobs health like a white line around mobs that turns redder the more near death the mob is, idk i just want something interesting and creative, and this can even explain how gestalts know where are the mobs about to died so they can predict where to fly before the death.

Shadow affinity: Webber can now decorate a tier 3 den with pure horror, dreadstone and icker from jars to turn it into a new spider, the sticky venom queen, this new spider is smaller than the normal spider queen but is a lot faster, she has planar defense and her attack is a venom spit from afar that deal 1 damage, this spit cause a splash AoE that stay there for some seconds this slower down a lot all enemies. All mobs impregnated by the venom are now affected by weakness and their planar defense and damage is reduced for some seconds. And all spiders attacking inside the venom goop are busted like being affected by acid rain (this cause i never use acid rain as webber and i want to know how it feels to make my spiders better). The sticky venom queen make this spit attack with a slow attack period, she spit to the enemy then she tries to evade the enemy not staying in the spot. Finally webber can mount the venom queen but the queen's spit cooldown is slower with webber on top.

And both affinities cause all spiders friendly to webber to be inmune to epic screeching.

I just wish klei dont make shadow-mutant spiders like wurt shadow-mutant merms. :T

Do you have any other ideas for Webber’s alignments because the special switcher doodle would cause problems with skins and the shadow one seems a bit overpowered and way too mod-y in a bad way

oh no sorry, they are just examples, i trust in klei creativity but sometimes they take the easy way, like wurt or wolfgang skills. I think webber deserve something more interesting.

Well, I’m getting on a skill trip right now and currently I have it as something more along the lines of Wurt’s affinities except also having something to buff his other spider sense with how many different spider types he has he doesn’t make as much sense to make shadow and literary versions of them like they did with Wurt also me and @Creatingabe1125 I haven’t been talking about adding items for each affinity more related to his creative side so I’d love your input

Well, since Webber has two souls in his body. I think the best would be giving players a choice between "being more human" and "being more monster". As being more human, Webber learn how to control spiders and explore them more effectively. As a monster, Webber can turn himself into a more spider-like being. Not just a lunar swticherdoodle, but all swicherdeedle should grant him some perks, but only one form at a time. So Webber is probably a 4-dimensional character in my opinion: lunar human, shadow human, lunar monster, and shadow monster.

I did something similar with my skill true but I’ve been reworking it you know, combining skills, adding others and even getting rid of some, so how it landed out is a bunch of spider related skills, including Skills that make some act more like a spider And some for managing spiders and related stuff in a couple that has to do with his old life as a human It’s not really an equal split anymore But I believe they got a fair representation

It depends on what those spiders actually “Do” that matters.

For example: ever since Klei added above average trees I wanted to be able to hang dangling depth dwellers in them and they would slink down their silk, snatch up prey and capture them (like those funny rope net traps you see in action movies)
