The thing is though: HOW do you go about adding more to someone like Wickerbottom who has like 20 books worth of stuff she can do, or Maxwell who not only can read and use all of her books, but can do his own additional crap too.

I think Klei wants to approach these with caution so they don’t become broken OP gods.

I’m ngl WX-78 feels super boring nowadays, was hoping to see a tree for them sooner than later

webber can alsol eat just other raw meat without penality, if i remember correctly he still dont lose sanity even if the raw meat is spoiled with red bar, unless you fire cook said meat thats when it does hurt

There's no good reason to do so, though. The other kinds are better in a crock pot.

MM is basically free for Webber, so it doesn't matter that the only stat is 18.75 hunger. Just eat it off the ground whenever a spider dies.

The only thing you didn't mention about Webber (aside from beard) is that they can eat raw MM free of any penalty. Wurt has a vastly more restricted diet (though she gains bonus hunger from dried kelp, etc.).

I think Webber's skill tree certainly ought to be fancier than what Wurt got. Throwing spiders at mobs. Cave spiders shielding allies instead of being useless.

honestly i hope they can go a different route to make his army smarter, smoler and elite. they could do sth like limited number of elites that turn dmg taken as player, or has enhanced spider types does abilitys to aid fights. like Abigail. hell I could see webber's spider carry stuffs for him just for the funs.
those id say need a big ass rework how webber works tho. entirely

With all being said, I believe the game is going in a good direction. I like the idea of releasing skill trees (Wendy, Walter and Wortox) followed by new bosses and lore updates on the same year - no one was expecting Scion and specially Mega Blight! 

I kinda miss The Forge and The Gorge, but that is another topic
