It would be neat if there were different types of Deadly Brightshades that could appear. Fighting the same one can get old and having some variation can make them a lot more interesting to deal with.

For instance you could have a variant that shoots seeds in an arc like a catapult and wherever it lands, it spreads thorny vines that damage the player if they walk into it (basically Winona's shadow strike but used against you). The player can attack these vines to destroy them so that they always have a way to reach the Deadly Brightshade. The vines also go away after a while so the player doesn't have to do cleanup after killing it.
This variant is easy to defeat on its own but can act as a dangerous supporting role around other types of Deadly Brightshades considering they spawn in waves of 3.

There are of course other ways you can take this, this is simply an example.
