Moodster
At a basic level, magnets could be used as a kind of crude solid filtration system, but the real fun would be with magnetic shielding. Because of temperature limits on buildings, it can be very difficult to create a super high temp environment that's actually useful. Introducing superconductors. They are typically made of special ceramic and must be kept at VERY low temperatures to function. We're talking at least liquid oxygen cooling. Put it in a loop and feed it enough electricity though, and you can generate a magnetic field strong enough to contain heat. A late game addition for sure, but with so many uses. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168009-magnets/ Share on other sites
Charletrom
I like the idea of using superconductors as building materials, where you would get bonuses for keeping stuff really cold. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168009-magnets/#findComment-1836037 Share on other sites
