I tried to fix the big portrait problem where it doesnt show up, but I think I just made things worse.

Could you give me a screenshot of your folder structure?

Yeah. Search in your code, in the part where you declare the asset like 

ASSET("IMAGE", "bigportraits/emily.tex")

and change emily.tex to emily_none.tex or ms_emily_survivor.tex, depending on which texture you want.
