There is a saying, that if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish you feed them for a lifetime. This is a programming commission/or art trade if you really need art/animation/sfx in exchange for programming my mod and teaching me in the process. I want to be taught to code better and get more familiar with the DST programming environment. If you don't want art/animations, then I can pay. I'll need heavy guidance and patience however.

Normally I would prefer to do art/animation trades in exchange for programming, since I'm saving but I'm willing to do anything right now. I don't want to have a bunch of projects festering in the closet cause I lack programming experience. I also already have a big mod that is lying there dormant (Sad small violin at Rift Together) until I gather the energy to completely rebuild it from scratch, but that's on the back burner for now.

Right now I have a very complex original character that I want to finally complete that has been in the works for months, and I really want to get him finished by halloween. A character that I've had for a very long time and weirdly enough love dearly since I hadn't killed them yet like all my other ocs :'D He'll be going on 9 years old in November 11th.

But yeah, I need a lot of programming assistance with him, which is a character that is supposed to come with an entire biome in a similar vein to cherry forest.

I am not a complete newbie at coding. I have quite a basic understanding of lua/C# and can partially program pong from heart, but cannot use logic very well. You must be able to code cleanly, code must be mod compatible(no dirty editing) and must be well organized, as I also need to be able to read and replicate code. I am a super neat freak.

If you're interested, please dm me here and I'll provide my discord. Again please be aware that this character is very complex as well and has extensive UI elements.

Hi, I don't think I'm exactly what you're looking for in your post, as I'm relatively new to DST mods. In fact, I've created several for personal use, but I've never published one.

However, I'm writing this because I have experience developing applications in other languages and have extensive knowledge of algorithms, their efficiency, and data structures, so I can say I should have some knowledge of programming logic. I've developed many things in Java from scratch, without external libraries (which is good for DST modding, since they can't be used), and I've been able to extrapolate all that experience to Lua. I believe I can help you develop your mod, as I have experience creating prefabs and UI elements for the game, and I believe I can interpret the game's source code fairly quickly. I'm not asking for anything in return, as the time I can dedicate to it varies. Although I'm usually very active, I'm in my final years of university, and therefore, I don't know if tomorrow I'll have nothing to do or if something will come up that consumes all my time.

I would be happy to give you a hand if you need it.

Hi! Sorry it took long to respond. I was a bit busy, but I'll take any help especially if it's free! Even from multiple people as long as I get to learn how to program better. If you have a discord you can hit me up on there as I feel it's easier to communicate there and go through code.

My Discord username is: fernifrenito

I don't know if you can add me with just that. I haven't used Discord in a long time.
