it's possible that requires a bit of setup with valve, to have it be such a huge presence. but i'm not gonna pretend that i understand precisely how this stuff works, just a guess

I appreciate that, however this links to a url specifically designed for Klei fest.

If I made a domain which hosted my photos of cats it wouldn't really be an indicator of anything, let alone how much I advertised it.

I was certainly on the steam page the same day, I also participated in threads on the day where there were discussions around it having no advertisement.
This is purely my own experience, so please don't feel the need to be convinced by it - However i'm beyond confident.
