Posted August 8, 2025 Share Posted August 8, 2025 It only has 6 slots and 33% slow down spoil time, that is really trash for a supposed "Chef on the go" backpack, if klei really wants warly to have a more nomadic playstyle and better early game he needs a better container for the ingredients. I think an upgrade to the chef pouch could help, something like 14 slots and 60% slow down spoil time but it can only have raw ingredients inside, and you need 1 blue gem and 3 salts to upgrade it. I made this post cause the other day i was playing warly in a public server (i usually play warly in solo private world with a plan to set up a base as soon as posible) and i tried to play in a nomadic way and the worst thing was i didnt have enough space for my raw ingredients in my chef pouch. Radicaljoe Posted August 8, 2025 Share Posted August 8, 2025 Yeah, poor Warly. He's advertised as this wandering chef able to pop a pot down and cook diverse meals anywhere. But that is not delivered at all in game. You have to go so far out of your way to play like that. Because at the moment warlys unique backpack is inferior once you beat bearger. I would say that starting with DS Klei, they made it so that all the characters could do this. That's why different biomes have different food. The ruins even have their own unique recipes. But alas, this style of play is used by an extremely small number of players. And it's rare for anyone to eat in a dish in a variety of ways. I agree, he should either have that a base change, or a perk that makes it so you can turn the chef pouch into a container for ingredients, maybe with some scraps, silk, and a blue gem, a "hard craft" but make it slow spoilage by like 95%, something like that.
