Since we have a little extra event with lunar hail in the form of dead birds falling out of the sky (and then mutating into bright-beaked birds), it'd be cool and a bit intimidating if dead birds started dropping out of the sky during the Celestial Scion's supernova attack. Could just be a flavor thing, or maybe they could assist the Scion too somehow once they mutate, or is that too far?

Unfortunately the barrier has a ceiling, which is why birds in it can't escape and keep dropping back down. Wickerbottom and Maxwell have quotes on this when reading Birds of the World.

It's feasible to have the ones in the barrier help Scion because there won't be that many and you can always pick them up before they die and mutate, assuming the barrier doesn't repel Brightshade Gestalts.

(Also can be retconned in when the birds are ready.)

Eh, the barrier's supposed to be one-way isn't it? Birds flying over could still get fried by the supernova.

I'm not sure what the point of disabling Birds of the World during the fight is, other than maybe to stop you from filling the arena up with birds that can't escape.
