After now playing a fair bit of the new Rotwood "Friendly Beta" one of the first things that really stood out to me in this new update was the mini bosses. This beta adds in 9 new mini bosses, which is actually amazing, and adds a lot of new surprises and replay value to the hunts since we don't always get the same mini boss every time anymore. However, another change that had me cooking up a whole bunch of theories as to why Klei did this is the color changes to most all of the original roster of mini bosses. Just take a look at some of these images I captured in game.

So, what is actually going on here? well, it is very probable that Klei just wanted to spruce up their original mini bosses and adjust their colors to better fit the hunts of the game or to just make them look cooler, but to me this just seems weird. Look at "Onyx", for example, who was originally called "Greater Colossapphire", this boss color pallet, in my opinion doesn't really fit Bonechill Quarry, because these colors just seem unusual here. However, unusual colors do fit perfectly into the super frenzied hunts, and this is where my theory lands. I believe that Klei is cooking up super frenzied variants of the mini boss rots, because when looking at the already existing imbued boss rots for the super frenzies in game, they all have different and unusual colors as well, like orange Enigmox for example. So the only reason I could think that Klei would change the colors for all the mini boss rots is because they are working on super frenzied variants of these guys, that will include new and challenging move sets just like the imbued boss rots. I hope this actually will happen, because that would make the super frenzies even more exiting and crazy! I mean Whammo (Greater Yammo) already seems to have new attacks, as seen in the image of him that was provided. Honestly I'm not really sure what's going on here, and maybe I am just thinking too deep into it, but there is no denying that super frenzied variants of the mini boss rots would be a really awesome and welcome change to Rotwood. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Actually, it's 9. In Frostbite Carvern there is a chance to encounter Magmoo (the fire variant of Bullrog).

It would be cool to see super frenzied mini bosses. Since the old mini bosses have theoretically become separate mobs, there's nothing stop from making them Imbued.
