linabagel
What if it's not "extra slots", but different occupancy situations? Backpack and clothes take up 1/2, and the armor and amulets take up 1/1. 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167422-body-clothing-slots-should-exsist/page/2/#findComment-1830801 Share on other sites

The character new people pick by default to have an easier time in winter, spring and summer. They could even add a new body clothing that was the equivalent of flower crowns so they can occupy that slot when they don't need insulation or water-proofness. Edited August 7, 2025 by SapoLover Thinking about it, beard already does that, ahaha. Anyways, a dedicated clothing slot would be good imo, not just for Wilson. They can also make 4 slots. Just like one of the Shipwrecked backpacks. Kevinnator
There are some body clothing that are actually not that bad and can allow your head slot to be used for something other than seasonal protection. However body clothing shares the same slot as backpacks. More inventory space is just too invaluable and more flexible than what body clothing provides. You'd store what you'd need for campfires and a hat or two, making you fine for pretty much anything and having space to spare. Any backpack upgrades giving you even less reasons to use body clothing as keeping food fresh longer or adding 14 extra inventory slots is just so strong. Meanwhile body armour kinda doesn't compete with backpacks for space because you can simply put on the armour when you get in combat and pick your backpack up later. I tend to play with a backpack slot mod because that's the only way I'd ever use body clothing. Adding inventory slots to body clothing doesn't feel like a good solution. It basically means that any body clothing you make will just lay on the ground when not used as it's basically a backpack with an effect and backpacks can't be stored in containers. This would just be messy in big servers.
