Lunar hail is cool but it could be better

I love the concept of lunar hail it definitely has the grounds to be one of the coolest things in the game but it’s missing stuff 
 

Firstly I think the removal of the falling debris glass was bad it should be implemented back in but in a way that won’t cause as much lag my idea for this is have the glass always shatter on impact so the game doesn’t have to run checks to decide if it shatters or not this way the hail still poses a threat.

lunar hail should also have a build up effect where it starts off relatively calm as a kind of warning phase with the hail build up on structures absent or extremely slow, glass hardly falling. then ramps up to what we have/had with the glass build up only being normal on natural structures (trees and rocks etc) with player built/unnatural structures not being affected. It then ramps up one final time to extremely heavy hail where glass shards fall more often and build up is super fast and effects unnatural structures(the structures could even be unusable when covered in glass). And the heavy hail could also result in a moonstorm effect where you’d have to wear eye protection. There could also be hail buildup on giants/certain creatures like tree guards or clock works and even survivors like WX-78 or wormwood when there’s buildup on these creatures on hit it causes an aoe damage burst around them and heavy damage to the creature effected. 
 

If I get more ideas I’ll add them in the replies feel free to give feedback or your own wants for lunar hail.

I really like the idea of lunar rain being a short but quick and very hectic event that can randomly occure to put a wrench in current activities, having it ramp up over time in intensity would be good at achieving that, and to the addition of the really fast falling hail, birds falling from the sky would definitely make it feel even further chaotic
