What’s the Deal with the Misshapen birds? (The ones from moon storm)

We should see them more, it doesnt make sense they are only for the storms. What’s the reason it’s restricted there? I find it kinda confusing even though the birds have niche mechanics. They are cool creatures, so Anyway here is my idea to make them more prevelant:

 

1. The birds now spawn in the lunar island pre riff at night time. Using Wicker’s book on the moon at night time will spawn a swarm of these birds.
2. Post Riff, they will spawn in full moons just like how Permafrost Pengulls do the same.

3. They have a small chance to drop rot on death.
