litcc
This issue has been raised before, but there was no response! https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/165286-connection-through-proxy/ I also have a well-functioning cluster configuration and would like to integrate my services through a public reverse proxy, then connect to my home network via a tunnel. The setup works as expected, but only when I use `c_connect("xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx")` to connect to the server, allowing me to play with very low latency. However, if I need to switch worlds, such as going underground, it reverts to a P2P connection with extremely high latency instead of using the IP I specified for a direct connection! Moreover, when not using the `c_connect` command, connections to my server found in the server list also use P2P, resulting in abnormally high latency. How should I define or announce the direct connection IP for my server? litcc
The community currently has a preliminary solution, but this solution is only applicable to optimizing direct connection paths when using the c_connect command to connect to servers. An official solution is not yet available. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3487026153 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167197-direct-connection-ip-and-p2p-issues/#findComment-1829966 Share on other sites
_Who
The server's network component seems like it wasn't developed by Klei—I can't find any solutions. I've tried multiple servers, different regions, and various network environments, but I always encounter this network issue.
