What do you mean tedious clutch mechanic?

The only outdated aspect besides Wendy skill tree is now you can feed beefalo while riding. So honestly things are even easier now, especially using light bulbs while riding.

It seems you need practice with specific fights such as klaus. Are you opposed to using console commands in a test world to practice the fights? I would personally do that for Klaus and the other things giving you trouble. 

Beefalo are always nice. If you want to use one, try to start taming early autumn so that you don't have the issue you've already experienced.

I would suggest you stop playing Wendy, she will worsen your kiting skill because relating too much on abigail. Also she's bad at hard boss cause abigail will die fast without preparing enough of ghost heal.

If you really want to practice boss fighting, I would suggest you playing Wigfrid and Wolfgang

My mistake, its not clutch at all, just tedious. The last thing a new/inexperienced in combat player needs is another mechanic to juggle on top of juggling abigails survival during a boss fight.

Ornery beefalo is good but overrated for experienced players but the random bucking, random heat, randomly getting aggro from rooks, the time it takes to gather a saddle and find beefalos. If the beefalo dies you need to start all over again. It's really not worth it for the inexperienced.

Ornery beefalo is only useful for Wendy otherwise every other character (including wes) benefits more from getting a rider beefalo and doing boss fights on foot. Learning how to prep the correct amount of weapons, armour and healing is easier and is useful across the board.

And with Wendy's skilltree. It's easier than ever to maintain hex damage so needing to tame an ornery beefalo as wendy is extremely outdated advice. Get a rider beefalo instead, atleast it maintains usefulness if you ever decide to character swap later on in your world.

Use the best weapons because going to raid bosses is stupid.

Focus on one boss. Lardee's video is good but it's a bit much to ask of somebody who struggles at a basic level. 
I suggest you start with Bee Queen. 
The fight requires
1x hambat, 
3x marble suit
2x bee keeper hat
healing food 
1 nightshade nostrum
1 spectral cure all

To make it safer/easier you should also carry a panflute, additional spectral cure-alls, plenty of healing food and it's okay to overprepare and make an additional bee keeper hat aswell as another marble suit. I wouldn't actually do a Dark Sword, you will need more than one and the sanity drain might catch you offguard. However a valid alternative is the Morning Star if you fight Bee Queen shortly after it stopped raining.

For the fight itself
1. Start right before the day starts and have nightshade nostrum on abigail
2. Some players rile her up in phase 1 and phase 2 but it's okay to keep her soothed instead. One less thing to manage, you can always perfect the fight later on.
3. The most important thing is to keep Abigail alive. Bee Queen will not usually attack Abi she's only taking damage from the grumble bees over time. So it's okay to use a potion rather late. If it's too stressful to do with everything else going on, play the panflute and heal Abigail in peace while the queen and her minions are sleeping.
4. The next most important thing is to have Abigail stunlock the grumble bees so that they don't decimate your armor. Because of that it's actually more important to stay in Abigail's damage radius than to deal damage to Bee Queen. She will fly around a lot and watch you from a distance. That's okay, stay with Abigail and help her kill grumble bees. Then move to BQ when they are dead. 
5. You'll also be taking damage (slowly). Heal yourself in between hits with food. Again, if it's too overwhelming with everything else to watch for, use the panflute to do it in peace.
6. A normal world offers 3-6 panflutes (glommer+mandrakes). If you run out of them and can't make green staves, you can always get more by turning on Winter's feast and sleeping under the christmas tree. In any case, all I want to say here is: It's totally ok to use the panflute freely when dealing with a bossfight that you haven't mastered yet.

Its not the point. Its about having fun. You have tough challanges in front of you. And it takes time. What people are quick to judge about pros is they dont realize how much time and effort it takes to be good at those. U just entering that phase and getting frustrated because "at this point I should know". No. Its normal doing mistakes. It just means u have room to improve. So keep practicing, its all right oke?
