Realistically speaking, if main characters were to finally stumble upon a portal in time that flung them into their real great world of 1920's, what do you think they'd do?
Do you think they'd still be friends, go along their own paths or be doubtful if they even want to come back to real world and rather stay in the Constant? Either, even be considered too insane, talking nonsense and be thrown into mental asylum for inability to fit into society. 
I guess monster characters are out of the question because they will be shot on sight by policemen.

Oh boy, one way or another most of the cast are probably past the point of rehab I think. Some like Warly and Walter might still be fine to go back to their normal life but others like Wigfrid, Willow, Wendy, Maxwell, etc are way too deep into the Constant lifestyle.
Speaking for myself, I wouldn’t even want to go back after all. This feels like a Dungeons & Dragons cartoon scenario where they had some opportunities to go back home but never did.
