Let's be honest, almost no one uses it, because you have to give up armor or any other clothes just to see further.

I like that the developers have started adding mechanics to the game that replace mods that I can't imagine my game without, like the ability to view the contents of wrappers with a razor or the built-in (albeit awkward, I hope, temporarily) Geometric Placement. So this is another opportunity to replace mods, in this case for zooming out, with another vanilla mechanic.

Make it work even when it's just in your inventory and add the ability to enable and disable it by right-clicking on it. Maybe too powerful with moggles, so, make it disable when player wear that.
And yes, please remove those wires from the edges of the screen.

I think this is a good idea because at the moment this item is useless
