Fishing additions (and snakes)

I’ve been getting into fishing in real life and don’t starve recently and I think fishing could be expanded on but I don’t exactly know how to do that but I do have ideas for a few additions that would make fishing more enjoyable 

 

my first idea is a snakeskin bucket hat (like that from shipwrecked but slightly different) 

wearing the bucket hat could have some boosts to fishing like line durability so you have more room for mistakes when reeling, or maybe have it so you don’t lose your baits/lures/bobbers as often when the line snaps. It should also of course have about 50% wetness protection and some summer insulation.

my next idea is a fisherman’s vest (also made with snakeskin) 

Wearing the vest should also give a boost to fishing but my idea for this is that it keeps fish alive in your pocket longer and/or have it so you can hold more lures/baits/bobbers per stack. It should also have a wetness protection value of around 50 and some summer insulation 

 

now I’ve mentioned snakes a lot and I do have ideas for them to make them more than just carbon copies of snakes in shipwrecked. 
 

Snakes should spawn in waterlogged biomes and rarely from debris in the ocean when hammered (maybe spawn from monkey treasure chests and sunken chests too?) 

when killed they drop snakeskin and morsel (i never really got them dropping monster meat) 

players should be able to feed snakes eggs and tall bird eggs to make all snakes nearby temporarily peaceful and the snake that got fed will dunk into the water and bring back a gift which functions like a catcoon gift when you feed them (more ocean themed though) 

snake skin could also be used to make snakeskin rug and the silly monkey ball (which can be used to distract and temporarily pacify monkey enemies)
