OC art thread: Wrenley the dove

I've never really used forums seriously in my life, so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right... Anyway, I was just a kid obsessed with Don't Starve six years ago, and now, as I'm approaching adulthood, I've fallen in love with the game all over again. <3

This girl here is Wrenley. To put it simply, she was just a stage dove William bought for his performances, but thanks to Charlie, she was given a human form and brought into the Constant. She adored William, who used to take good care of her. And when they reunite in the Constant, she tries to show him affection—but Maxwell dislikes her, since she knows about the shameful part of his past. I’ll write out her full story sometime later. (man I think I'm using way too many commas but my English sucks so I don't know how to fix it)

 

Right now, I'm working on bringing her into the game! The code is a total mess, but Don't Starve modding is my passion. My goal is to release her on the Workshop before the Shadow episodes wrap up.

And nice to see someone who introduces more OCs / ideas that have to do with the backstory of Maxwell (or in general any character ^^) and put them into the DS world. I love anything that goes into the direction of "the world (or characters) having a changing effect on creatures" plus an anthropomorphic dove in "harpy"-style is something I did not expect when opening the thread but something that makes me cheer THAT I looked at the thread.

This is actually the first time in my life that I’ve made an OC based on an existing work! DST universe is just so fascinating—I couldn’t resist making a character for it. My final exams are literally today, and yet here I am, still modding and drawing. lmao

It's been a while. These days, I've been focusing more on things other than developing Wrenley. I've been retexturing Chester to look like my favorite streamer and studying how to draw Maxwell.

I recently found some sketches I made for mod development. There were skilltree images, skin concept art. It’s a short update but I hope you enjoy it

Is it bad that the skins for MOD characters are mostly the only ones I actually care for and love to look at so far? ;; (asides Wilson's /BEARD/ skins)
