                                                                     Preface

Here I will describe my opinion on what can be added to the ocean and what should not be added and why.

                                                         Adding strong wind

Adding wind will make raft control more difficult, because the wind will change the sail's course and you will have to constantly control the raft with the steering wheel so as not to go off course. Also, a raft without a mast and steering wheel will make it difficult to control with an oar because of the wind, so installing them on the raft will make raft control easier. Storms are also possible. What will it look like: there will also be a strong wind that will interfere with you; increased lightning and rain. And in rare cases, a tornado may appear. To escape from a tornado, in addition to moving with the mast, you yourself need to row with an oar as often as possible. If a tornado overtakes you, it will break your raft, and you will be thrown onto dry land, as if you fell from the sky (this would explain why frog rain appears).

P. S. : Add wind only in the ocean, not on the main continent.

                                                      Emptiness in the ocean

The ocean is really empty, except for the branchy trees, the hermit island, the moon island, the monkey island, the salty rocks, the king of crabs and the killer flowers :)  Everything else is either a large number of boulders in one place, or an empty space of the ocean. The ocean really needs to have a large empty space to just move around freely, so to make the ocean more interesting, you need to remove the accumulation of boulders in the ocean and expand the map a little, by about 30-50 tiles on each side, because there are places in the ocean near the map borders that are only needed to swim between the continent and the map border (this is literally the size of two or three rafts), to sail further across the ocean

                                            Islands and a separate continent

As for the islands, I do not agree to make a separate (second) continent, but you can do it differently. Create a world generation setting so that the biomes of the main continent are divided into several parts in the ocean and you can move between them using a raft. But this is a setting, like a separate generation of the world, for example, like a ring of the continent.

There are really few islands, there are only three of them at the moment. It's just a little strange why Wagstaff found some island for his experiment with the portal (which is why the monkey island appeared), and we can't find it. But, in my opinion, the islands should be very small, like, for example, the hermit island. The meaning of the islands:

  • Islands on which the monkey pirates will bury their treasures;
  • Islands with crystal magpies that will attack after activating the lunar rifts and steal poorly hidden things on the floor, and carry them to their island;
  • Temporary islands that appear when the new moon approaches and are flooded when the full moon approaches;
  • Just empty sandy islands where you might be washed up, where there are bushes of sticks, grass and palm trees from the monkey island;
  • Ice island where penguins live. We know that penguins come to the main continent in winter, but where are they the rest of the time in summer? We can add an ice island that will expand in winter and shrink in summer, like Sharkboy Island.

                                                            Crab war forts

I suggest adding crab sea forts to the ocean, which will contain various jewels or treasures. It's just strange to me, we only have a hermit crab, a king crab and crab minions during the battle with the crab king, but we don't see the crabs anywhere else. The only thing we can still interact with is crayfish, and that's to prepare food, but they're not crabs...

                                                         Fire predator fish

Fire predator fish, like fire hounds. I mean, the fire pump is used, either in the summer, when everything catches fire on its own, or an accidental or intentional arson. So if you add a small hunting school of fire predator fish, which can shoot something like small fireballs, like pebbles for Walter's slingshot. This will give the fire pump more use and also the deck light, because when you put out a fire with the fire pump you might accidentally put out a bonfire and the deck light will give you an advantage when putting it out.

                                                            Water bulbs

These are the same bulbs as on the main continent, only adapted to the ocean, but already feeding on seabirds. They work like bird traps, luring with their seeds. Defense instead of many eyes, its roots, which are also easily killed. Something like Quacken's tentacles from Shipwrecked, only these are the roots of the water bulb.

                                                          New sea boss

I think that we need to add another sea boss, which can only be defeated while on a raft, using guns or weapons. At the moment there are only three sea bosses and these bosses do not depend on the presence of a military raft (I mean a raft with cannons). If we talk about the king of crabs, then you will need at most a grassy raft, because a wooden one will be broken by cannonballs from the cannons of the crab towers. Therefore, I propose to add a boss that can be fought on a raft and without fighting on some island. Something like the same Quacken.

P.S. : The boss was great.

                                               Growing sea crops

In the sea we can plant a seed of a large branched tree and kelp. It seems to me that in the coastal sea you can make your own mini water garden, with new plants-crops, as a result of which adding more seafood.

This is my suggestions. For me, if you add a bunch of islands like in Shipwrecked, you will have to expand the world map even more and add even more enemies, so it will be easier to just install a mod like Tropical Adventure and not play vanilla DST.

Thanks for your attention)
