bummins Posted June 7, 2025 Share Posted June 7, 2025 (edited) Klei, Firstly want to say that the Prehistoric pack is one of your best DLCs to date, the concept of a time challenge is exactly what this game has needed. rather than me try and design the perfect base and usually get bored and abandoning my game, i'm now seeing a 200 cycle Dash to get petroleum, refined metals, but also I need to handle getting a stable colony AND both breach the surface and dig deep enough to find enough oil. All my usual plans require me to come up with a Heath-Robinson setup. e.g, where to put the exhaust from natural Gas generator? just event it into the main ladder accessway, plumbed toilets? nope, make do with an outhouse. Please consider branching into many more challenge time run colony , some ideas: Highly destructive meteor showers eating away the top of the map. maybe unique extra large volcano that doesn't overpressure but destroys the tiles around it, to eat the world from bottom up. very high water table, that rises as the game progresses, turning tiles into waterlogged equivalents that leak into voids, and fill voids with water, or toxic vents that again dont overpressure but travels through porous rock and threaten to suffocate your dups regarding general map feedback: I don't know if it was planned this way but i've seen people complain that the asteroid doesn't contain oil, in my map I had 1 oil well only in the middle lower half of the map, nothing else, it was like the game intended this and wanted me to go with a oil well setup, however my map also contained hardly any fresh water, i've been on a careful balancing act of just enough to keep oxygen production going. the extra oxylite around the first 2 inner rings was essential to survive. This has been one of my most challenging runs, up there with getting carnivore achievement, a well crafted challenge. gameplay bugs: - General storage bins don't allow storing of mimillet seeds -when a pip rummages through the storage bins, ive seen that the contents becomes suspended above the floor, in the image joya seed is selectable but I cannot move it, it is selectable from the resource list. i tried reloading the save attached but the joya seed was then deleted, went from 3-> 0 betafeedback2.zip Edited June 7, 2025 by bummins 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/166200-feedback-from-beta-branch-testing/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

It is a cooking ingredient, AND a seed.
