Let us get Hermit Rehomer's recipe after we return broken pearl.

It can be explained that Pearl doesn't want to stay on the Hermit Island anymore as she knows CK will never come back. After Pearl moving to the place where we used Rehomer, Wagstaff will appear and take this "totally uninhabitable island" for himself. This is just a rough outline of my ideas for the new plot. I personally think it would be more palatable and easier to accept than the current storyline. The point is, it gives Pearl's arc an ending. What we have now is more like a contrived intersection of her story arc and the grainy transmission quest line, resulting in a interlude that derails both narratives.

More importantly, from the perspective of actual gameplay experience, we can omit the tedious process of finding Moonquay, drawing the map, and then going back to Moonquay to find the Pearl (if you don't have the Cookie Cutter Shell and Moon Rock on hand, you'd have to make an extra trip to Moonquay. I think Pearl should have directly given us a Rehomer, just like Wagstaff directly provided us with a Gestalt net. Or craft it with bottles like other Pearl's recipes). Now we directly get Rehomer's recipe after we return the broken pearl that CK drops, we don't have to go to the Moonquay and deal with the powder monkeys, don't have to draw a map for Wagstaff.

Thank Klei for responding to the forum's calls to improve Pearl's story arc by giving us the Rehomer. And they have already reduced the cost of the Gestalt net, explained why the WARBOT goes out of control. I believe  they are willing to make further optimizations, and I hope my suggestions useful and constructive.

My concern is that currently you would only visit Pearl's island post-rifts to check in on her or kill any Deadly Brightshades. If Pearl moves away before then, then it becomes even less likely that someone discovers Wagstaff is there. Though, it doesn't really matter if we are intended to look up a guide for the questlines.

wagstaff could seek us out in this case, he has a way of making himself known in other ways like running to test stuff in his scrapyard or across the map. Why would he not seek us out to help with his experiment when we have gone this far already? Not like the pigs are gonna help him out lol

That won't be a problem too hard to solve. We have already seen Wagstaff running to the abandoned junks, allowing us to locate those are not spawned in the junk yard. And if he could give Pearl a marked map, why couldn't him give us one to let us find his new experiment ground.
