Now that we finallly have confirmation that the reward for warbot are the celestial jewels we can apropietly discuss the cost of the boss fight. Not only the crown shard requirements have been removed but we got confirmation that we will be able to save terramites after the fight is done. This indicates that the boss is designed with replayability in mind, The bugnets been so cheap is even more of an inteligent move now; because now we can easily get the nets before we go to a rift, the lunar island or the grotto, and pasively farm gestalts. (Also, now realistcly can use the contained specters for decor and as a megabaser i am living for this) TLDR: the new cheap cost of the bugnets makes the farm of gestalts more of a pasive farm easing a lot the chore of getting the mats for warbot About pearl, i understand people still mad that they lost the only safe heaven there was in the ocean, and these people do have a right to be mad and their concerns are perfectly valid. That being said, i think now its a much more sensible decision. Been able to place pearl whenever we want its something i didnt even dreamed could happen and let me tell you , as a megabaser, i cant wait to buillt intricate lunnar gardens for this crab to enjoy, Also i just really like the idea of having a neighbour in dst, its so charming and unique and i love it.(The new item to relocate pearl also, been realitvly cheap its absolutly gorgeous and i am going to spam it for decor thanks klei) The one little problem that still persist is that, i wish the dialoge was better. I know for a lot fo people this might come as nitpicking but pearl saying "use myy new recepy to find me a place" its really off putting, Dst praises itself been able to draw perfect images of very charismatic characters just by short lines of dialoge and i think pearl and wagstaff are not been receiving that treatment. User Edible coal has a fantastic post explaining how they interpretated the pearl eviction, and ti think thats incredibly sweet and i wish the dialoge reflected it better. When giving the map to pearl she should say something about her and her home on the lines of: "When he and i...when it all ended, i didnt know where to go, i didnt know what to do, i just sit here, in the middle of nowhere, waiting for him to come back, and i waited, and waited, stuck in the same place.... but now, after all i lived, and after everything you ve done for me, i think its time to move on, let that junk colector have this place, but please, come to visit some time" And then you find her in monkey island like: "I AM GOING TO ASSUME HE ALSO TRICKED YOU, AND I AM GOING TO ASK YOU TO FIND ME SOMEWHERE DECENT TO LIVE. AND AFTER YOU VE DONE THAT, I LL CONSIDER SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN" Give me character, give me feels, give me an actual good picture of the whole situation. On the topic, i am going to assume its still a WIP, but the scene in which the celestial revenant spawns could be played a little bit better, the uncompleted experiment when spawning cc feels much more "resolved" as in , you catch very quickly the moon sent the champion to avoid wagstaff taking over the misterious energy. Here it just spawns after wagstaff crafts the last terramite, I think it should be made clear that wagstaff is doing something that the moon doesnt like, and with this i mean make it more flashy. give the terramites a cool visual effect conencting to warbot, and then wagstaff tells you: "You ve done well, those darn specters wont sufy to quick start our experiment. The real enegy source for it we have to met yet. but if i am not mystaken, the specters should now be calling for it in 3, 2, 1...." And the the celestial revenant spawns and he goes: "JUST AS I PREDICTED, another blasted champion of the moon to try stop us at uncovering its secrets. Before the moon send a carcass for the mysterious energy to posses and annoy me, but now, this, this is noveau for what i am used to. This is already infected with an even greater energy from an outer plane nonetheless, exactly what we need. Deal with it and lets see how it goes" This is just my version of how the scene should go, but i think if this is the finale of the lunar part of this arc, attention to the theatrics should be on point. For my testing i still havent seen any clue that indicates we need to go to pearl after defeating the bosses, and i think that would trully help the progression. I am static to see how this beta develops, thank you very much klei.
