Will the Sealed Portal be updated with new content in the moon storyline's finale?

Since its introduction in the sixth 'Return of Them' update back in 2020, the Sealed Portal has had no follow-up content, even as the moon storyline is nearing its conclusion. Has it been officially confirmed that the Sealed Portal will no longer receive updates?

Jokes aside, Klei should at least make a clarification about it in my opinion.

Don't Starve Singleplayer had 3 seperate worlds (RoG, SW, Ham). Introducing a completely new world to DST could have a huge impact on the game. Since they switched to "Quality over Quantity" update schedule, this might be easier for them now. I know it has been about 5 years, but hey -- better late then never.

Sometimes you just have to sit down and realize game devs are normal people and don't always have everything figured out. It's extremely likely nothing will ever happen to that portal and it was simply added for flavor to show where the former occupants escaped to.

I feel like there's a good chance we might see something come from it, maybe as a part of this year's roadmap? The iridescent gem was in the same boat, not having a use until 4 years later when one was needed to activate the archives. So maybe the portal could end up the same way, since it's been 4 years since it was added.

after you defeat the new moon boss....it drops wagstaff mcguffin that is infused with....THE MOON....that you then place ontop of the sealed poral....to them get.....THE MOON....ahm...ancind moon gear that has....that is stronger then current moon gear.....oh and of course free some eldrich horror that was imprisoned by THE MOON that will then adempt to murder you....then you deafeat that being and.......the world dies and you are send to the credits and the world gets deleted as the ending has reached or you just get the world in the state of how it was before opening the rifts....thats hopefully it, then i guess it would be probably more so about the shadow rifts....hmm...guess we replace THE MOON with THE SHADOWS instead and wait another update for the sealed portal
