The first standard duplicant who flies to the temporal tear can be selected when starting a new game next time. Their character attributes and available skill points will be retained, but the skill point allocations will be cleared to ensure that their morale does not drop too low in the early stage of the new game. Only one trained standard duplicant from past save files can be selected for each new game.

Having an experienced crew is also something I have not considered as an alternative to difficulty scaling. Great idea!

2nd'ed

Having the ability to tailor the dupes would be a great simple addition to the game. Maybe a DLC that has dupe generation, and all things dupe, integrated with the supply closet.

Custom starting scenarios is fun.

Try all glowing dupes or gassy.

 

I’ve tried an all-flatulent run. It is very, very funny, but also very hard. Stinging eyes is so punishing in the early game
