Wandering trader now will sell extra random items rather than always the same, depending on the season and your game progression. Rember these trades are up to chance.

Boss locked trades:

Sell two dragonfly scales for a deerclops eyeball. (Pretty rare trade). Must kill d fly to unlock.

You get the idea i will end it here. Basically trading boss drops for other boss drops.

 

Winter Trades

Sell a deerclops eyeball for two dragonfly scales. (Unlocks after killing your first deerclops)

Sell a tamo shanter for a Walrus Tusk.

Sell a Walking cane for a tam o shanter.

This is an example for one season. Different seasons will vary, and feature trades for their seasonal boss.

 

Riff Trades:

The currency for basic riff resources will be brightshade husks. You can buy riff items. 

Unique trades:

An ability to buy 2 crown shards for one of wagstaffs centipede battery things. (Maybe this one needs better balancing and logic idk)

 

Grass gator Trader

He could also appear on the ocean as a grass gator kind of disguise, selling ocean related items and supplies to help you. He uses kelp, barnacles, and seed shells as his currency for basic items. Kelp being for basic resources, seed shells more advanced, and barnacles in the middle.

(Klei should add better ways to farm seed shells)

I'm totally on board with the idea of expanding his assortment, as long as the appropriate requirements are metit would be great. Something like Wilson, where you don't have to switch into him to transmute things from one form to another.
