Hyperbole aside, this had got to be one of the most impressive things that I've done, not just in my Wes world, but in my entire DST career, and this is coming from the same guy who killed CC as him, TWICE. Looking on YouTube, it doesn't look like they're any videos showcasing Wes downing the 3 mutant bosses, so I may just be one of the few to record themselves killing these bosses, and I got to say, that's a massive achievement.

Compared to most raid bosses in the game, the mutants are NO JOKE. They hit EXTREMELY hard, have a hearty amount of health, and will even mix up their attacks depending on how close or far away you are to them. Even as normal characters with more max hp and damage than Wes, I still sweat bullets when going up against these guys, ESPECIALLY Armored Bearger. Good spacing is the key to succeeding in that fight, as if you're too close, he'll constantly smack you with high-damaging planar strikes until you get out of range, and if you're too far, he'll do his flying butt-slam attack, which I believe to be the most damaging attack in the game, and he can do it MULTIPLE times. I swear man, my butt cheeks were so clenched during that fight, they could compress an entire phone book.

Despite how shaken up I was during these fights, however, I was incredibly satisfied when I took these suckers down, as compared to the other characters, I couldn't afford to take many hits and a single mistake could be the end of me. It made boss encounters a lot more fun and exciting, just how I felt when I first fought these guys for the first time. If you are getting too bored of the gameplay loop, find that the game is too easy, or simply want to feel scared and helpless again, I'd highly recommend anyone on the forums to try out Wes for a year or so. In my 12 days of experience with him, it'll certainly make the game MUCH more interesting.

A lot of health?
Deerclops - 6000, Bearger - 8000, Varg - 3000.
Their health is several to ten times less than that of raid bosses.
Their damage is also not high, but they have pure damage, which makes it seem high.
Have you killed these bosses in 1 attempt?

Actually, yes, yes I have. I really thought Armored Bearger or Clops would be the end of me, but somehow I pushed through. I guess that's when I realized proper spacing in those fights can determine how well or poorly things can go. They also might have lower health compared to other bosses, but it feels the room for error is way lower due to their spacing mechanics and the fact the rift gear only reduces damage by 80%. Add in the fact that my base hp is 75 and things can quickly go south if I make 1 or 2 mistakes.

Huh. Well, the main thing is that you enjoyed fighting.

my main issue with wes is that he doesnt actually change the fight in any way. I do love the idea of making an easy boss more difficult through a self imposed challenge, but wes doesnt do anything special in that regard. Personally, i prefer to go into theses fights using any character, with the restriction of not having armor, using bad weapons, etc. It essentially lets me get all the challenge you would have on wes except when im done the fight i get to go back to using a fun character.

I'll admit, combat as Wes isn't too different than most of the cast, things just take longer and there's more micromanagement involved with health and sanity. HOWEVER, while you could impose restrictions on the other characters to get a similar challenge, you aren't playing as a funny guy with silly pantomimes, balloons, and a cute little face.

Plus, he's got some of the best skin sets in the game and no one comes close to rocking the drip Wes is packing. Have you SEEN his triumphant skin?! No one will EVER pull off that look.

default maxwell would disagree. His fashion is so insane he even has a whole perk dedicated to it.

Yet, he couldn't keep his long sleeved suit. He also lacks that young supple skin our boy Wes has in spades. He's an old, wrinkly grandpa with a receding hairline. I'd say no offense, but he's the one that imprisoned my rosy-cheeked boy for the most petty reason in the world. /s
