What i want is something that moves the story forward because it feels like we came to a complete halt.

The last thing that moved the plot forward was Maxwell's rework.(rifts dont count)

It wasn't, it's just an inference I made.

Before the Archives and CK Hamlet had an enemy that was a living robot and it dropped infused iron when defeated. Klei had said this robot was from a "long forgotten war", and its pieces are able to attack shadow creatures and will deliberately go out of their way to attack them. 

The conclusion I have from this is that this robot is made or possessed by gestalts, and that it has lived for a very long time. Keep in mind this existed before much of the lunar content in DST exists. In DST, there are a some "infused" versions of materials that work with lunar magic. Wagstaff examine quote states that it is filled with "Ancient arcane technology". The word "arcane" is used to describe the knowledge we obtain from the Archives, archives that teach us how to build robotic contraptions, and the archives themselves are home to robotic centipedes.

In Hamlet, the Aporkalypse is depicted as the moon being completely covered in shadow, this leads me to believe that the "ancient war" this robot was from was a war between the gestalts and the shadows, and is what this string of updates in DST is building up to. Further is that because the moon is literally engulfed in shadow, another assumption is that the shadow side has won this war.

There are many other clues and details that can lead one to believe it's possible Hamlet is the future of DST; in particular this trailer depicted a gestalt possessing a piece of a machine in order to elude Wagstaff, which in order to fight the robot boss in Hamlet you need to animate every individual piece and have them meet together. Hamlet was also where Wormwood was introduced, who is clearly a lunar-aligned entity, meaning Klei had this on their mind when developing Hamlet.


So our cast has been taken to the archives, taught arcane knowledge on how to make stuff that is robotic in nature, and in Hamlet you have a bunch of robots laying around from an ancient and long forgotten war, said parts are especially hostile to shadow aligned entities. The climax of this allows us to create the ancient artifact, able to turn us into a combat robot.

Basically the conclusion of this ark, I predict, will involve robots created by our team(and possible a balloon mech from Wes) who now have the necessary skill and cast to do it, a war of epic proportions will begin which will scar the constant so badly it will need to be evacuated which will lead to a mass evacuation into the sky. And Wanda, conveniently being introduced as our time traveler, will be able to cover any possible plot-holes by manipulating time.
