the problem with creating mods

Guys, I've run into a problem. I want to create my first mod, and it seems like I even managed to write something in Lua files. But DST refuses to see even the simplest lines that simply change phrases or the amount of sanity of the characters. I was throwing mods through the Donotstarvetogether directory in the Klei folder. But the mods don't even show up in the mods tab in the game! What should I do? I don't understand why this happened, there is access everywhere and everything seems to be correct with the mods directory too. But because of this, I can't check my mods. Please help me.

Your mod should be located in \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods
