Steam Turbine Deprecated Temperature

Recommended Posts

The old Steam Turbine was built to endure extreme heat, operating in Steam environments.

Currently, Steam Turbines stop functioning at 100°C, yet they still overheat at temperatures exceeding 1000°C. This seems inconsistent.

I suggest adjusting the overheat temperature to 75°C (167°F), in line with other machinery, with the usual material-based bonuses.

This change would only improve consistency and is not game changing.

wrong

that would break a ton of designs for no reason

I don't agree, since almost every single design is just the steam tubine being cooled by the aquatuner or wheezeworts. But, if it makes everyone happy the overheat temperature could be 100°C since the turbine can't even run at that temperature already.

The main consistency problem is it being overheated at 1000°C when Its worthless at 100°C.. I mean the Turbine itself has a lot of problems around temps and my feedback/suggestion is not even touching the fact that it can be at -256°C on top and 9725.85°C on the botton without it just melting instantly.

The alpha desing of the turbine was more consistent but also super painful to use and the overheat 1000°C was made for that design and not the new one, the devs just left the overheat number because it just worked I suppose.
